Ezra Panopio

ELP is a Partner and Head of Risk and Quality. He is both a Philippine CPA and a US CMA with 17 years of combined experience in auditing, controllership, corporate finance, infrastructure project financial and economic analysis, international financial reporting standards (IFRS) consultation engagements, and risk-based assurance services to clients in diverse industries, including banking and financial services, manufacturing and construction, hospitality industry, education, food and retail chains, mining and utilities, business process outsourcing, technology and logistics.

He was previously the Group Controller of the Lyceum Group of Companies where he assumed a strategic role in the overall operation and management of the Finance Division of all school campuses, the Bayleaf Hotel, and a real estate business, and lead the Group’s digital transformation to SAP. Prior to Lyceum, he has been the Assistant Vice President & Head of the Controllership Department of the Philippine National Construction Corporation. He also served as the Audit and Accounting Consulting Services Manager of PwC Philippines (Isla Lipana & Co.) and RSM Philippines (Reyes Tacandong & Co.). While at RSM Philippines, he was seconded to Malaysia for an IT Audit engagement of a multinational food and beverage chain. His first love was with the academe having been a Professor at Bicol University and Divine Word College of Legazpi, and a US CPA, US CMA, and CIA Reviewer at various institutions.

Ezra is a magna cum laude graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bicol University where he was conferred the Most Outstanding Graduate in 2008. He completed his Master of Science in Accountancy at De La Salle University in 2024.
